More Than Just Umrah Packages
London is home to approximately 1.2 million Muslims — the largest Muslim population of any city in the United Kingdom and one of the largest in Western Europe. Tower Hamlets, Newham, Waltham Forest, Brent, Hackney, Haringey, Southwark, Croydon — London’s Muslim communities span the entire city, from East London’s historic Bengali and Bangladeshi communities in Whitechapel and Bethnal Green to the Pakistani communities of Wembley and Southall, the Somali communities of Haringey and Lambeth, and the diverse Muslim residents of North, South, and West London.
For London Muslims planning Umrah, Packages Umrah provides the same ATOL-protected, competitively priced Umrah packages that we offer to pilgrims across the UK — with departures from London Heathrow (direct flights to Jeddah and Madinah) and London Gatwick (direct flights to Jeddah). Our packages start from £699 per person for 7 nights (3 star), £869 for 4 star, and £1,099 for 5 star — all £20 below comparable market rates — and include return flights, Umrah visa, hotel in Makkah and Madinah, and ground transport throughout Saudi Arabia.
We are based in Manchester — not London. We say this upfront because you deserve to know who you are booking with. We are an ATOL-protected agency with a Manchester address, a WhatsApp team available 24/7, and a track record of serving pilgrims from across the UK. For London Muslims, we process everything remotely by WhatsApp, email, and phone. Documents are handled digitally. Quotes are provided the same day. Your package is backed by ATOL protection from the day you deposit. Distance from our office does not affect the quality of your pilgrimage.
Umrah from London — Key Facts Departure airports: Heathrow (LHR — direct Jeddah/Madinah) and Gatwick (LGW — direct Jeddah) | Muslim population served: 1.2 million across all London boroughs | From £699 pp (3 star, 7 nights) | ATOL protected | WhatsApp: +44 7737 144335 | Same-day quotes |
London has five airports, but not all are equal for Umrah departures. Here is the complete guide:
Airport | Destinations | Airlines | Best For |
Heathrow (LHR) | Jeddah & Madinah direct | Saudi Air, Emirates, Qatar, BA | Best overall — direct flights, most routes |
Gatwick (LGW) | Jeddah direct | Saudi Air, TUI, Flydubai | South London — direct option |
Stansted (STN) | Jeddah via Istanbul | Turkish Airlines | North/East London — budget option via Istanbul |
Luton (LTN) | Jeddah via Dubai | Flydubai, Air Arabia | Budget option — East/North London via connection |
City (LCY) | No direct Saudi routes | N/A — connect to LHR | Central/East London — use Heathrow instead |
Honest recommendation for most London Muslims: London Heathrow is the best overall option for Umrah — it has the most direct flights, the most airlines, and the best routes to both Jeddah and Madinah. For South London pilgrims (Croydon, Lambeth, Lewisham, Southwark), Gatwick’s direct Jeddah services are an excellent and often cheaper alternative. We advise on the best airport for your specific borough and preferred travel dates when you enquire.
Which airport is easiest from your part of London? Here is the honest guide for Umrah pilgrims across Greater London:
London Area | Key Boroughs | Best Airport | Travel Note |
East London | Tower Hamlets, Newham, Waltham Forest, Hackney | Stansted or Heathrow | Stansted: Turkish Airlines via Istanbul. Heathrow: 45–60 min by TfL |
North London | Haringey, Enfield, Barnet, Camden | Heathrow or Stansted | Heathrow 40–60 min by A10/M4. Stansted 40 min M11 |
South London | Croydon, Lambeth, Southwark, Lewisham | Gatwick | Gatwick 30–45 min by train — excellent for South London |
West London | Brent, Ealing, Hounslow, Hillingdon | Heathrow | Heathrow 10–30 min — ideal. Closest airport to W London |
Central/North West | Westminster, Brent, Harrow | Heathrow | Heathrow easiest option. Elizabeth Line connects central London |
Greater London (Outer) | Slough, Watford, Reading area | Heathrow | Heathrow well-connected by M4, M25, Elizabeth Line |
Travel times are approximate and depend on traffic and time of day. London Heathrow is well-connected by Elizabeth Line (central/west London), the Piccadilly Line (central London), and the M4/M25 for those driving. London Gatwick connects directly to Victoria, London Bridge, and Blackfriars by Gatwick Express and Thameslink.
All prices are per person, quad sharing, departing from London Heathrow or Gatwick. We are a Manchester-based agency. Why should London Muslims book with us? Here is the honest answer:
The largest Umrah agencies in London — based in East London, Central London, and with high-street offices — carry overhead that is reflected in their pricing. Our Manchester base has lower operating costs, which we pass directly to our customers. Our packages are consistently £20–£40 per person cheaper than comparable packages from London’s most prominent Umrah agencies, at identical or superior hotel quality. For a London family of four, this saving of £80–£160 per trip is significant.
Our ATOL protection is issued by the Civil Aviation Authority and applies to every booking regardless of where you or we are based. A London pilgrim booking with Packages Umrah has the same ATOL financial protection as if they booked with a Heathrow-adjacent agency. ATOL protection is verified at caa.co.uk — our number is displayed on packagesumrah.co.uk. There is no London surcharge on ATOL protection.
Everything you need from a Umrah agency can be done by WhatsApp, email, and phone. Documents are submitted digitally. Quotes are provided the same day. Visa processing is done remotely by our team using the Nusuk platform. Payments are made securely online. Many of our London clients have never spoken to us by phone — the entire process is handled via WhatsApp (+44 7737 144335). The absence of a London office is not a disadvantage — it is why our prices are lower.
When you contact Packages Umrah, you deal with a specific named agent who handles your booking from enquiry to return. Your agent is your WhatsApp contact for the duration of your trip in Saudi Arabia. This is not a London call centre that transfers your call between departments. It is a specific individual in Manchester who knows your booking, your hotel, your flight times, and your family’s composition. Many London clients specifically cite this as the reason they chose us over larger agencies.
We arrange departures from every major London airport — Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, and Luton. We do not require you to travel to Manchester to begin your Umrah trip. You depart from your nearest London airport on the airline and routing we confirm at booking. Your journey to Saudi Arabia begins from London. Our involvement is in the booking, the visa, the hotel, and the ground transport — the service infrastructure, not the departure point.
Every duration is available from London airports. Here is the guide to which suits which type of London Muslim pilgrim:
A 7 night package from London is the most popular for working London Muslims who want a complete Umrah experience within a standard annual leave block. Seven nights from London Heathrow — 4 in Makkah, 3 in Madinah — returns you to London with both holy cities visited, all rituals completed, and a full week of uninterrupted worship behind you. For London Muslims using the February half-term, October half-term, or school Christmas holidays, a 7-night package typically fits cleanly within the holiday window. London departure flights are plentiful for 7-night Umrah throughout the year.
Our 10 night London departure package is the recommendation for London pilgrims who want a genuinely immersive first or second Umrah. Six nights in Makkah provides time for multiple Tawafs across different conditions — the early morning Fajr Tawaf, the post-Maghrib evening circuit, a spontaneous midday visit to the Haram in October or January. Four nights in Madinah gives time for the Rawdah, Masjid Quba, Jabal Uhud, and the evening atmosphere of the Prophet’s city. Many London Muslims report that 10 nights was ‘exactly right’ — enough to feel settled in the holy cities without feeling rushed to leave.
Our 12 night London package is particularly well-suited for retired London Muslims and those with flexible schedules. The 12-night rate occasionally undercuts the 10-night equivalent due to favourable flight and hotel combination pricing — check with us on current rates for your preferred month. Twelve nights in the holy cities from London gives you the time to establish a genuine daily Ibadah rhythm: morning Fajr in the Haram, a structured day of Ziyarat and rest, evening prayers, and night Tawaf — a routine that the shorter packages barely have time to establish before departure.
Our 14 night London Umrah package is the most complete pilgrimage experience available from the UK. Two weeks from London — 8 nights in Makkah, 6 in Madinah — gives London Muslims the time to make both cities feel genuinely familiar. By the second week, the Haram feels less like a tourist destination and more like a place of regular worship. For retired London Muslims and those with maximum annual leave flexibility, the 14-night package is the one we recommend without reservation. The spiritual return is exponentially higher than the cost increase over a 7-night package.
We serve London Muslims from every community, every borough, and every background. Here is a specific overview of the London Muslim communities we regularly arrange Umrah packages for:
East London hosts one of the most concentrated Muslim populations in the UK. The Bangladeshi and Somali communities of Tower Hamlets (Whitechapel, Bethnal Green, Stepney Green), the mixed South Asian and African communities of Newham (Forest Gate, Stratford, Ilford), and the diverse Muslim residents of Waltham Forest and Hackney make up a significant proportion of our London bookings. For East London pilgrims, Stansted Airport (40 minutes from Stratford by M11) offers Turkish Airlines connections via Istanbul to Jeddah. Heathrow is also well-served by the Elizabeth Line from Stratford, Liverpool Street, and Tottenham Court Road.
North London’s Muslim communities span Wood Green and Seven Sisters in Haringey, Edmonton and Ponders End in Enfield, Golders Green and Hendon in Barnet, and Wembley and Harlesden in Brent. For North London pilgrims, Heathrow is the primary departure airport — the A406 and M1/M25 provide convenient access, or the Jubilee Line from Wembley to Heathrow via Paddington. Stansted is also accessible from North London via M11. We arrange Umrah packages from London for North London pilgrims across all boroughs.
South London’s Muslim communities — centred in Croydon (Thornton Heath, South Norwood), Tooting in Lambeth (one of the UK’s most established Pakistani communities), Peckham in Southwark, and Lewisham — are well-served by Gatwick Airport. Gatwick’s direct Jeddah services make it an excellent departure point for South London pilgrims who would otherwise face the journey to Heathrow across central London. We specifically advise South London pilgrims on Gatwick-based Umrah packages — contact us and we will compare both airport options for your specific postcode.
West London’s Muslim communities — in Hounslow (Southall, Brentford), Ealing (Acton, Hanwell), and Hillingdon (Hayes, Uxbridge) — benefit from the closest proximity to Heathrow of any London area. The M4 corridor and the Elizabeth Line from Hayes & Harlington connect West London directly to Terminal 2, 3, and 5 at Heathrow in under 20 minutes. For West London pilgrims, Heathrow is not just the best option — it is the most convenient departure experience available anywhere in the UK.
Many pilgrims who describe themselves as London Muslims actually live in the outer Greater London area or in commuter towns like Slough, Watford, or areas of Essex and Hertfordshire. We serve all of these communities. Slough (large Pakistani and Bangladeshi community) is approximately 20 minutes from Heathrow. Watford and the surrounding Hertfordshire communities connect to Heathrow via M25. We advise on the best departure airport for your specific location when you enquire.
Every London departure package — across all star categories — includes:
We arrange return flights from your preferred London airport. Heathrow to Jeddah: direct flights available on Saudi Arabian Airlines, British Airways (codeshare), Emirates, Qatar Airways, and Flydubai. Heathrow to Madinah: direct seasonal services available. Gatwick to Jeddah: direct services on Saudi Arabian Airlines. Stansted and Luton options via Istanbul (Turkish Airlines) or Dubai (Flydubai/Air Arabia) are also available. We confirm your specific airline, terminal, departure time, and routing at booking.
We process your Umrah visa through the official Saudi Ministry of Hajj Nusuk platform on your behalf. Standard processing: 4–7 working days. Documents submitted digitally — no need to visit our Manchester office. Required: valid UK passport (6 months minimum from travel date), recent passport photograph, and meningococcal ACWY vaccination certificate. Meningococcal vaccinations are widely available at London GP practices and travel health clinics.
3 star: 300–800m from Masjid al-Haram. 4 star: 100–400m. 5 star: 50–250m (Pullman Zamzam, Fairmont Clock Tower, Movenpick Abraj Al-Bait). All Madinah hotels within walking distance of Masjid al-Nabawi. Hotel name, exact address, and Haram distance confirmed in your booking documentation before you pay the balance. No surprises on arrival.
Airport transfers on arrival in Jeddah or Madinah, intercity coach transport between Makkah and Madinah, and return airport transfers are all included. Private vehicle upgrades are available — particularly recommended for London elderly pilgrims and families with young children who benefit from door-to-door transport.
Our team at 7 Huxley Avenue, Manchester, M8 0SJ is on WhatsApp (+44 7737 144335) throughout your trip in Saudi Arabia — in English and Urdu. Your named agent is your direct contact. If anything changes — a flight delay, a hotel issue, a question at 2am Saudi time — you have a direct human contact who knows your booking.
Booking from London is entirely remote — no Manchester visit required. Here is the full process:
Yes — depending on the month and availability. January, September, October, and November have the best last-minute availability from London airports. Ramadan (March), December Christmas, and July–August school holiday packages should be booked months in advance. Visa processing requires a minimum of 10 working days. Contact us with your preferred London departure date and we will advise on current availability immediately.
Real enquiries from London Muslims about Umrah packages — answered directly and factually.
Q: How much do Umrah packages from London cost in 2026?
A: Umrah packages from London Heathrow or Gatwick start from £699 per person (3 star, 7 nights), £869 (4 star, 7 nights), and £1,099 (5 star, 7 nights). Prices include return flights from London, Umrah visa, hotel in Makkah and Madinah, and ground transport. Ramadan (March) and school holiday peaks are higher. Prices are £20 below market rates.
Q: Can I depart from London Heathrow for Umrah?
A: Yes. Heathrow is the best London airport for Umrah. Direct flights to Jeddah operate on Saudi Arabian Airlines, Emirates, Qatar Airways, and others. Direct flights to Madinah are also available seasonally. We arrange all Heathrow Umrah departures.
Q: Can I depart from London Gatwick for Umrah?
A: Yes. Gatwick has direct flights to Jeddah on Saudi Arabian Airlines and other carriers. Gatwick is the best option for South London pilgrims in Croydon, Lambeth, Southwark, and Lewisham. We arrange Gatwick departures throughout the year.
Q: Can I depart from Stansted or Luton for Umrah?
A: Yes, via a connecting hub. Stansted: Turkish Airlines connect via Istanbul to Jeddah. Luton: Flydubai and Air Arabia connect via Dubai. Both are viable for East and North London pilgrims who find Heathrow less convenient. We advise on the best option for your specific London location.
Q: Is there a direct flight from London to Madinah?
A: Direct London Heathrow to Madinah flights are available seasonally, particularly during peak Umrah periods. Year-round, Madinah is also served via a Saudi connection from Jeddah or through connecting hubs. We confirm routing options at booking based on your travel dates.
Q: Are you a London-based Umrah agency?
A: We are based in Manchester (7 Huxley Avenue, M8 0SJ), not London. We are transparent about this. We fully serve London Muslim pilgrims with the same ATOL protection, same pricing, and same service — processed remotely by WhatsApp and digital documentation. Our Manchester base allows us to price £20 below comparable London agencies.
Q: Can I trust a Manchester-based agency for London Umrah?
A: Yes. ATOL protection applies regardless of where the agency is based — it is a UK government scheme that protects your money. Our ATOL number is verifiable at caa.co.uk. Many London Muslims book with us specifically because of our lower prices (lower overhead from our Manchester base) and our named-agent service model.
Q: Can I book Umrah from Tower Hamlets?
A: Yes. Tower Hamlets pilgrims can depart from Stansted (40 min by National Express/M11 from Stratford) or Heathrow (45–60 min by Elizabeth Line from Whitechapel). Contact us and we will compare both options for your travel dates.
Q: Is there a good umrah agency for Newham and Ilford pilgrims?
A: Yes. We serve Newham, Ilford, and the surrounding East London Muslim community. Heathrow is accessible by Elizabeth Line from Stratford (approximately 45 minutes). Stansted is also an option for direct Turkish Airlines services via Istanbul to Jeddah.
Q: Do you serve Waltham Forest and Hackney Muslim communities for Umrah?
A: Yes. Waltham Forest (Walthamstow, Leytonstone) and Hackney (Dalston, Stoke Newington) pilgrims can access Heathrow via Elizabeth Line from Stratford, or Stansted via M11. We arrange Umrah from both airports.
Q: Can I book Umrah from Croydon or South London?
A: Yes. South London pilgrims (Croydon, Tooting, Peckham, Lewisham) are best served by Gatwick Airport — approximately 30–45 minutes by Thameslink train from East Croydon. We arrange Gatwick Umrah departures.
Q: Is Gatwick better than Heathrow for South London Umrah pilgrims?
A: For pilgrims south of the Thames (Croydon, Lambeth, Southwark, Lewisham), Gatwick is typically faster and easier than Heathrow — a shorter journey, fewer tube connections, and good direct train links. Direct Jeddah flights from Gatwick are available on Saudi Arabian Airlines.
Q: Can I book Umrah from Hounslow, Southall, or West London?
A: Yes. West London pilgrims are the closest of all to Heathrow — Hounslow, Southall, Hayes, and Uxbridge are 10–25 minutes from Heathrow by car or Elizabeth Line. We arrange Heathrow Umrah for West London pilgrims throughout the year.
Q: Can Brent and Wembley pilgrims depart from Heathrow?
A: Yes. Brent (Wembley, Harlesden) is well-connected to Heathrow via M1, A40/M40, or the Jubilee Line to Paddington then Elizabeth Line to Heathrow (approximately 40 minutes from Wembley). We arrange Heathrow Umrah for Brent pilgrims.
Q: Can Haringey, Enfield, or Harrow pilgrims book Umrah from London?
A: Yes. North London pilgrims (Haringey — Wood Green, Seven Sisters; Enfield; Harrow) can access Heathrow via M1/A406/M25 by car (45–60 min) or by tube (Victoria Line to Euston, Elizabeth Line to Heathrow — approximately 60 min). Stansted is also accessible from North London via M11. We advise on the best airport for your specific North London location.
Q: What is the cheapest Umrah package from London in 2026?
A: Our most affordable London Umrah package starts from £699 per person for 7 nights (3 star), departing from Heathrow or Gatwick. This includes return flights, Umrah visa, hotel in Makkah and Madinah, and ground transport. Best months for lowest prices: January (from £679), November (from £679), September/October (from £689).
Q: How much does it cost to do Umrah from London in Ramadan 2026?
A: Ramadan 2026 Umrah packages from London start from £879 per person (3 star, 7 nights). Ramadan falls in March 2026. This is the premium month — the reward equivalent to Hajj commands higher hotel and flight prices across all UK agencies.
Q: What documents do I need for Umrah from London?
A: Valid UK passport (minimum 6 months from your travel date), recent passport photograph, and meningococcal ACWY vaccination certificate. Meningococcal vaccines are widely available at London GP practices and travel clinics. We guide you through all document requirements after booking.
Q: How do I get a meningococcal vaccine in London for Umrah?
A: Your NHS GP can prescribe the meningococcal ACWY vaccine. Many London GP practices and travel health clinics (including Boots Pharmacy travel services) also administer it. Allow 10–14 days from vaccination to your Umrah departure for the certificate to be recognised by Saudi authorities.
Q: Can I pay by installments for a London Umrah package?
A: Yes. We accept £100 per person as a deposit, with the balance due 8 weeks before your departure date from London. Monthly payment plans may be available for bookings made well in advance — ask us when you enquire.
Q: Do I need travel insurance for a London Umrah package?
A: We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation, medical expenses, and repatriation. Several UK insurers offer Halal-compliant travel insurance or policies specifically designed for Umrah pilgrims. Ask us for guidance at booking.
Q: Which hotels are available for London Umrah pilgrims?
A: We offer 3 star (300–800m from Haram), 4 star (100–400m), and 5 star (50–250m — Pullman Zamzam, Fairmont, Movenpick Abraj Al-Bait) options. All hotels are confirmed with name, address, and exact Haram distance before you pay your balance.
Q: Is the 5 star option worth it from London?
A: For Laylat al-Qadr night (March Ramadan) and for elderly London pilgrims, yes — the 50–80m proximity advantage of 5 star hotels is transformative. For most other months, 4 star (100–400m) offers excellent proximity at a more accessible price. 3 star is a good budget choice for September, October, and November when the manageable conditions make the 700m walk straightforward.
Q: Can I request specific room types for my London booking?
A: Yes. We can arrange twin rooms, triple rooms, quad rooms, family configurations, and adjacent rooms where available. Mention your room requirements when you enquire and we will advise on availability at your preferred hotel category.

Umrah is a voluntary Islamic pilgrimage to Makkah that can be performed at any time of the year. It is open to all Muslims worldwide, regardless of age or gender, provided women under 45 are accompanied by a Mahram.
Hajj is the compulsory annual pilgrimage performed during the Islamic month of Dhul Hijjah and is one of the Five Pillars of Islam. Umrah is a voluntary pilgrimage that can be performed throughout the year and is often referred to as the “lesser pilgrimage.”
The actual rituals of Umrah — Ihram, Tawaf, Sa’i, and Halq or Taqsir — can be completed in a few hours. However, most pilgrims spend 7 to 14 days in Saudi Arabia to maximise their time in worship at the Haram.
Umrah can be performed throughout the year. However, Ramadan is considered the most spiritually rewarding time, as performing Umrah during this month holds the reward equivalent to Hajj. January to March also offer cooler temperatures and a peaceful atmosphere.
Our Umrah packages typically include return flights from the UK, hotel accommodation in both Makkah and Madinah, airport transfers, Umrah visa processing, and 24/7 customer support. Full details are listed on each individual package page.
