York is one of England’s most historic cities, home to the University of York, a growing Muslim community, and outstanding transport links across the north. For York Muslims planning Umrah in 2027, the journey has never been simpler.
York Railway Station is one of the busiest and best-connected stations in northern England. It handles over 10 million passengers a year and sits on the East Coast Main Line. From here, TransPennine Express trains run directly to Manchester Airport roughly every hour, with journey times averaging 1 hour and 50 minutes. Manchester Airport then offers direct flights to Jeddah with Saudia, taking about 6 hours and 30 minutes. You can also connect through Istanbul with Turkish Airlines or via Doha with Qatar Airways if you prefer an alternative route.
Leeds Bradford Airport is physically closer to York at just 33 miles, but it does not operate direct flights to Saudi Arabia. That is why Manchester Airport is the primary departure point for York-based Umrah pilgrims, and all our packages are built around Manchester departures unless you request otherwise.
We also arrange connecting flights from Leeds Bradford or Newcastle for pilgrims who prefer those airports. Just tell us your preference and we will find the best routing for your dates.
All prices below are per person based on quad sharing. Every package includes return flights from Manchester Airport, Umrah e-visa, hotel accommodation in both Makkah and Madinah, private airport transfers, intercity transport via Haramain High-Speed Train or private coach, and 24/7 support throughout your trip.
A 3 star Umrah package gives you clean, comfortable hotel accommodation within 10 to 15 minutes of Masjid al-Haram by shuttle. Rooms include daily breakfast, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and en-suite bathrooms. This tier is ideal for pilgrims on a budget, for longer stays, and for large family groups.
7 Nights Umrah Package: £665 per person (3 nights Madinah, 4 nights Makkah)
10 Nights Umrah Package: £715 per person (4 nights Madinah, 6 nights Makkah)
12 Nights Umrah Package: £825 per person (5 nights Madinah, 7 nights Makkah)
14 Nights Umrah Package: £895 per person (6 nights Madinah, 8 nights Makkah)
With a 4 star package, your hotels sit within 5 to 8 minutes walking distance of Haram. You get larger rooms, buffet breakfast and dinner options, better views, and a quieter environment. This is a popular choice among families with children and elderly pilgrims who want to pray in Haram without a long walk.
7 Nights Umrah Package: £729 per person
10 Nights Umrah Package: £779 per person
12 Nights Umrah Package: £895 per person
14 Nights Umrah Package: £1,059 per person
Our 5 star Umrah packages place you in premium hotels with direct Haram views, often within 2 to 3 minutes on foot from the gates of Masjid al-Haram. These properties include full buffet meals, concierge service, laundry facilities, and dedicated Umrah support staff. If you want maximum comfort so you can spend all your energy on ibadah, this is the right choice.
7 Nights Umrah Package: £1,030 per person
10 Nights Umrah Package: £1,130 per person
12 Nights Umrah Package: £1,250 per person
14 Nights Umrah Package: £1,369 per person

All base prices above are for quad sharing (four adults per room). If you need a different room configuration, the following supplements apply per person on top of the base price:
Triple Room (3 adults): +£85 per person
Twin or Double Room (2 adults): +£190 per person
Single Room (1 adult): +£395 per person
For example, a 10 nights 3 star Umrah package in a twin room would cost £715 + £190 = £905 per person. Couples travelling together often find the twin supplement well worth it for the added privacy and rest.
Ramadan 2027 is expected to begin around 8 February, and performing Umrah during Ramadan carries immense spiritual reward. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said that Umrah in Ramadan is equal in reward to Hajj. Demand for Ramadan packages is extremely high, so early booking is essential if you want the best hotels and flight dates.
Our Ramadan Umrah packages from York are priced as follows (3 star, per person, quad sharing):
First Ashra (first 10 days): £1,179 per person
Second Ashra (middle 10 days): £1,279 per person
Last 10 Nights of Ramadan: £1,879 per person
Full Month Ramadan Package: £2,749 per person
The last 10 nights package is especially popular because it includes Laylatul Qadr, the Night of Power, which is better than a thousand months of worship. Most York families who book with us choose the last 10 nights or the full month option so they can experience Taraweeh prayers at Masjid al-Haram, break their fast in the sacred precincts, and spend Eid ul-Fitr in the Holy City.
4 star and 5 star Ramadan packages are also available at higher rates. Contact us on WhatsApp for a personalised Ramadan quote.

Every Umrah package we offer from York is fully all-inclusive. Here is exactly what you get:
Return Flights: Departing from Manchester Airport (MAN) with Saudia, Turkish Airlines, Qatar Airways, or another reputable carrier depending on availability and your preferred dates. Direct flights to Jeddah take approximately 6 hours 30 minutes.
Umrah Visa: We handle the entire Umrah e-visa application on your behalf. You simply provide your passport details and a photograph, and we manage the rest through our direct channel with the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.
Hotel Accommodation: Confirmed bookings in 3, 4, or 5 star hotels in both Makkah and Madinah. All hotels are vetted for cleanliness, location, and pilgrim suitability.
Airport Transfers: Private or shared group transport between Jeddah Airport and your Makkah hotel, and between Madinah Airport and your Madinah hotel.
Intercity Transport: Travel between Makkah and Madinah via the Haramain High-Speed Train (journey time approximately 2 hours) or by private air-conditioned coach.
Guided Ziyarat Tours: Visits to key Islamic historical sites in both cities, including Jabal al-Noor (Cave of Hira), Jabal Thawr, Masjid Quba, Masjid Qiblatain, Mount Uhud, and the Jannat al-Baqi cemetery. All tours are led by knowledgeable English-speaking guides.
24/7 Support: Our UK-based team and on-ground Saudi representatives are available around the clock for any assistance you need, from lost luggage to medical referrals.
Getting from York to Manchester Airport is straightforward. The most popular and cost-effective option is the TransPennine Express train service, which runs a direct service from York Railway Station to Manchester Airport Station. Trains depart roughly every hour from early morning until late evening, and the journey takes between 1 hour 48 minutes and 2 hours depending on the service.
Advance train tickets can be booked for as little as £11 to £15 each way, though standard fares range from £17 to £45. If you book your train tickets 6 to 8 weeks ahead of your travel date, you will almost always get the cheapest price.
Manchester Airport Station is built directly into the airport complex. You walk off the train, through a covered link, and straight into the terminal building. There is no bus transfer or additional journey required. Your Saudia flight to Jeddah departs from Terminal 2.
If you prefer to drive, the journey from York to Manchester Airport covers about 82 miles via the M62 and takes around 1 hour and 35 minutes in normal traffic. Long-stay parking at Manchester Airport starts from around £5 to £7 per day when pre-booked online, and there are free shuttle buses from the car parks to the terminals.
For pilgrims who need a pickup, we can arrange private transfer from your home in York directly to Manchester Airport. Ask us for a quote when booking your Umrah package.
York is home to a dedicated and growing Muslim community. The York Mosque and Islamic Centre on Bull Lane serves as the main place of worship, offering daily prayers, Jummah services, madrassah classes, and community events throughout the year. The York Muslim Association in Tang Hall has also been serving the community since 1988, providing a welcoming space for prayer and social gatherings.
With the University of York bringing in students and academics from across the Muslim world, there is a diverse mix of families, professionals, and young people in the city who seek to perform Umrah. Whether you are a long-settled York family, a university student wanting to travel during the Easter or summer break, or a professional working in the city centre, our packages are designed to fit around your schedule and your budget.
We understand that York’s Muslim population is smaller than cities like Bradford or Leeds, and that can sometimes make it harder to find a local agent who understands your needs. That is exactly why we offer a dedicated service for York pilgrims, with telephone and WhatsApp support from day one of your enquiry through to the day you return home.
The cost of your Umrah package depends heavily on when you choose to travel. Here is a simple guide to help York pilgrims pick the best dates.
Off-peak months for Umrah in 2027 include April, May, June, July, and September. During these months, hotel rates in Makkah and Madinah are at their lowest, flights are cheaper, and the Haram is less crowded. If you have flexibility with your travel dates, booking during off-peak months can save you hundreds of pounds per person.
Peak season runs during Ramadan (expected February to March 2027), the October half-term, the Christmas and New Year school holidays, and the period around Hajj. Prices are higher during peak times because demand from UK pilgrims surges and hotel rooms near Haram sell out quickly. If you plan to travel during any peak window, we strongly recommend booking at least 3 to 4 months in advance.
School holiday dates matter for York families. If your children attend school in the City of York local authority area, you will want to match your Umrah trip with the February half-term, Easter break, or summer holidays to avoid term-time absence issues. Let us know your preferred school holiday window and we will build your package around it.
If this is your first Umrah, there is no need to feel overwhelmed. The process is simple once you know the steps. Here is a brief overview of what to expect.
Umrah consists of four main rituals. First, you enter the state of Ihram at the designated Miqat point (usually announced on the plane before landing). Men wear two white unstitched cloths, while women wear modest clothing that covers the body. You make the intention (niyyah) for Umrah and begin reciting the Talbiyah.
Second, you perform Tawaf, which means circling the Holy Kaaba seven times in an anti-clockwise direction. Third, you perform Sa’i, walking seven times between the hills of Safa and Marwah inside Masjid al-Haram. Finally, men shave or trim their hair (Halq or Taqsir), and women trim a small portion of their hair. After this, your Umrah is complete and you exit the state of Ihram.
Our guided Ziyarat tours also take you to significant Islamic sites so you can deepen your understanding of early Islamic history. Many first-time pilgrims from York tell us that visiting the Cave of Hira on Jabal al-Noor, where the first revelation of the Quran was received, is one of the most powerful moments of their entire trip.

Travelling for Umrah as a family from York is one of the most rewarding experiences you can share. We specialise in family Umrah packages that take the stress out of group travel, particularly for families with young children, elderly parents, or three generations travelling together.
Children under 2 typically fly free on your lap, while children aged 2 to 11 may qualify for reduced-rate packages depending on the airline and hotel. We arrange adjoining or interconnecting rooms wherever possible so your family stays together. For elderly or mobility-limited family members, we can arrange wheelchair assistance at Manchester Airport and Jeddah Airport, as well as hotel rooms on lower floors or with accessible facilities.
Many York families choose the 10 nights or 14 nights Umrah package to give themselves enough time to perform Umrah comfortably, complete Ziyarat tours at a relaxed pace, and still have free days for personal ibadah, rest, and shopping at the souks around Haram.
We cater to group bookings from mosques, Islamic centres, university Islamic societies, and community organisations across York and North Yorkshire. Group Umrah packages come with additional benefits such as a dedicated group leader, coordinated check-in at Manchester Airport, group seating on the flight, and a private coach for all ground transfers in Saudi Arabia. Groups of 10 or more may also qualify for discounted rates.
Solo pilgrims are equally welcome. If you are travelling alone from York, we pair you with other solo travellers for room sharing so you benefit from the lower quad-sharing price. You will never feel isolated because our on-ground team in Makkah and Madinah is always available, and you will meet fellow British pilgrims throughout your trip.
Booking your Umrah with us is simple. Here is how the process works:
Step 1: Contact us on WhatsApp or through our website. Tell us your preferred travel dates, the number of travellers, your star rating preference, and your budget.
Step 2: We send you a detailed quote within 24 hours, including hotel names, flight options, and a full itinerary.
Step 3: Secure your booking with a deposit of just £99 per person. This locks in your flights, hotel rooms, and visa processing.
Step 4: Pay the remaining balance in flexible instalments. We offer instalment plans of up to 12 weeks before departure so you can spread the cost comfortably.
Step 5: Receive your complete travel pack, including e-tickets, hotel confirmations, visa documents, and a printed Umrah guidebook.
The earlier you book, the better your chances of getting your preferred hotel and flight dates, especially for Ramadan 2027 and school holiday periods.

When we say cheap Umrah packages, we do not mean cutting corners. We keep our prices low by negotiating directly with hotels in Makkah and Madinah, booking flight allocations early in bulk, and keeping our overheads minimal by operating primarily online and via WhatsApp rather than running expensive high-street offices.
Our 3 star 7 nights Umrah package at £665 per person is consistently lower than the market average for the same quality of service. We achieve this because we have strong relationships with hotel chains in the Haram vicinity and we pass those savings directly to our customers. There are no hidden charges, no surprise supplements, and no bait-and-switch hotel downgrades.
If price is your main concern, we recommend booking during off-peak months (April to July or September), choosing the 7 nights package for a shorter but focused pilgrimage, and opting for quad room sharing.
Pilgrims across Yorkshire choose us because we offer genuine value, transparent pricing, and personal service from start to finish. Here is what sets us apart:
Transparent Pricing: The price you see is the price you pay. All taxes, visa fees, and transfers are included.
Flexible Payment: Secure your place with just £99 and pay the rest in instalments.
Experienced Team: Years of experience arranging Umrah for British Muslims from across the UK.
Personalised Itineraries: We do not sell one-size-fits-all packages. Your trip is tailored to your family size, budget, travel dates, and personal preferences.
On-Ground Support: English and Urdu-speaking representatives in both Makkah and Madinah available 24 hours a day.
Hassle-Free Visa: Umrah e-visa processing handled entirely by us. You do not need to visit an embassy or deal with any paperwork.
A 3 star 7 nights Umrah package from York costs £665 per person (quad sharing). 4 star packages start at £729 and 5 star packages start at £1,030. Prices increase for longer stays and premium room configurations.
The cheapest option is our 3 star 7 nights package at £665 per person, based on quad room sharing and off-peak travel dates. You can bring this down further by booking early and travelling in April, May, June, or July.
Most York pilgrims fly from Manchester Airport, which offers direct Saudia flights to Jeddah. Manchester is under 2 hours by direct train from York Railway Station. We can also arrange departures from Leeds Bradford (connecting flights) or London Heathrow.

Most pilgrims from York choose 7 nights or 10 nights. A 7-night trip gives you enough time to complete Umrah and visit key sites. A 10-night or 14-night trip allows more time for voluntary prayers, repeated Tawaf, and personal reflection.
A 10-night package costs only £50 more than a 7-night package at the 3 star level (£715 vs £665) and gives you three extra nights in the Holy Cities. Many returning pilgrims recommend the longer stay because it removes the rush and lets you worship at your own pace.
For the lowest prices and smallest crowds, travel between April and July 2027. For the greatest spiritual reward, travel during Ramadan (expected February to March 2027). Each period has its own advantages.
We recommend booking 3 to 4 months ahead for off-peak travel and 4 to 6 months ahead for Ramadan. Early booking secures the best hotels and lowest flight prices.

Hotel selection depends on your star rating choice. 3 star hotels are within 10 to 15 minutes of Haram, 4 star hotels within 5 to 8 minutes walking distance, and 5 star hotels within 2 to 3 minutes. We share specific hotel names and photos when we send your personalised quote.

Rawdah access at the Prophet’s Mosque is managed through the Nusuk app. Slots are released periodically and fill up fast. We help you navigate the booking process and advise on the best times to secure a slot.
Yes. Group bookings include a dedicated group leader who accompanies you from Manchester Airport. Solo and family travellers receive on-ground guidance from our representatives in Makkah and Madinah.

Umrah is a voluntary Islamic pilgrimage to Makkah that can be performed at any time of the year. It is open to all Muslims worldwide, regardless of age or gender, provided women under 45 are accompanied by a Mahram.
Hajj is the compulsory annual pilgrimage performed during the Islamic month of Dhul Hijjah and is one of the Five Pillars of Islam. Umrah is a voluntary pilgrimage that can be performed throughout the year and is often referred to as the “lesser pilgrimage.”
The actual rituals of Umrah — Ihram, Tawaf, Sa’i, and Halq or Taqsir — can be completed in a few hours. However, most pilgrims spend 7 to 14 days in Saudi Arabia to maximise their time in worship at the Haram.
Umrah can be performed throughout the year. However, Ramadan is considered the most spiritually rewarding time, as performing Umrah during this month holds the reward equivalent to Hajj. January to March also offer cooler temperatures and a peaceful atmosphere.
Our Umrah packages typically include return flights from the UK, hotel accommodation in both Makkah and Madinah, airport transfers, Umrah visa processing, and 24/7 customer support. Full details are listed on each individual package page.
