More Than Just Umrah Packages
A 21 day Umrah package starts at £789 per person, including return flights, your Saudi visa, hotels in Makkah and Madinah, and every transfer once you land. Twelve nights in Makkah, eight in Madinah.
Twenty-one days means twenty nights, because you sleep in Saudi Arabia on twenty of the twenty-one days and spend the other one flying.
That is how we count and how we price, and we say so up front because the industry is not consistent about it. Some agencies advertise 21 days and mean 21 nights. Others advertise it and mean 19. Ask any quote you are comparing exactly how many nights you are paying for, because a night is worth roughly £39 to £52 depending on the tier.
If you want a genuine 21 nights, we will price that too. Just say so.
A week is a pilgrimage. A fortnight is a stay. Three weeks is closer to living somewhere temporarily, and it needs planning of a different kind. There is laundry, there is a food budget, there is a routine, and there is the question of what you are actually going to do with the middle week.
Most pages about long Umrah trips talk about the price per night. This one deals with the rest of it.
Quick answer 21 days from £789pp at 3 star, £969 at 4 star, £1,049 at 5 star. £39 a night at 3 star, the lowest per-night rate we offer. Twelve nights in Makkah, eight in Madinah. The split can be changed. The main reason people book three weeks is Ramadan, because it covers the last ten nights plus the run-up. Includes flights, both hotels, the Saudi visa and all three transfers. Hold with a £99 deposit. Packages Umrah, 7 Huxley Avenue, Manchester M8 0SJ. WhatsApp or call +44 7737 144 335. |

Most people who book three weeks are doing it for one reason, and it is worth setting out properly.
Ramadan runs twenty-nine or thirty days. A twenty-one day trip lets you arrive somewhere around the tenth day, settle in while the mosque is busy but not impossible, and then be in place for the last ten nights and Eid.
That is a different proposition to flying in for the final week. You are not arriving into the most crowded ten days of the Islamic year jet-lagged and looking for your hotel. You are already there, you know the building, you know which entrance works at which hour, and you have a routine before the pressure arrives.
The Haram fills hours before Maghrib. During the final nights the courtyard, the upper levels and the surrounding streets all fill, and arriving after Asr can mean not getting inside the building at all.
This is exactly why proximity stops being about comfort and becomes about access. A room 200 metres out means you go back after Taraweeh, sleep, and return for Qiyam. A room a kilometre out means you make a choice you would rather not make.
A twenty-one day trip usually puts Eid al-Fitr inside your stay rather than after you have flown home. For most people it is the thing they remember longest, and it is the single strongest argument for the longer package over a two-week one in Ramadan.
It begins around 8 February 2027, subject to moon sighting, and runs into early March. February half term falls inside it, which is unusual and means families can do part of this without taking children out of school.
Ramadan pricing runs 40 to 70 per cent above the figures on this page, and the last ten nights higher again. A three week Ramadan trip is the most expensive thing in Umrah travel and it needs booking six to twelve months out, not three.
If you are reading this in the autumn hoping to go the following February, book now. If you are reading it in January, we will be honest with you about what is left.
Ask about Ramadan 2027 availability
It is a narrower group than the shorter packages and there is no point pretending otherwise.
The largest group by some distance. No leave to negotiate, no deadline, and the pace of a three week trip suits people who do not want to rush. Many tell us afterwards they wish they had gone longer.
Between jobs, on a career break, or having just finished a contract. If you have the window, it is not a window that comes round often.
University summer and winter breaks are long enough, and student budgets suit the lowest per-night rate we offer.
Harder than it sounds and worth being realistic about. Three weeks of not being reachable is a different thing to two.
A common and sensible use of the length. At eighty, nobody needs a schedule. Three weeks means the day can be built around what your mother can manage rather than what the itinerary demands.
Some people want extended time rather than a trip. We handle these bookings quietly and we do not upsell.
Families with children under about twelve. Anyone whose work will genuinely suffer. And anyone attracted purely by the per-night figure, because £39 a night is only good value if you actually want to be there for twenty nights.
A twenty night stay does not feel like one long block. It divides into three fairly distinct weeks and knowing that helps you plan the middle, which is where long trips go wrong.
You fly, enter Ihram before the Miqat, land and transfer to Makkah. Umrah usually happens on day two after you have slept. Days three and four are recovery whether you planned them or not.
Very little beyond the Umrah itself. No Ziyarat, no ambitions. By the end of the week you should know your route to the Haram, your gate and roughly where you like to sit.
Days eight to fourteen, and the reason to book three weeks rather than two. You are settled, your body has adjusted, and the trip stops being an event.
Ziyarat properly rather than as a coach blitz. A second or third Umrah from Masjid Aisha at Taneem. Tawaf at hours you would not normally attempt, including past midnight. This is also the week where people start reading, memorising, or simply sitting, because there is finally time.
Somewhere around day ten or eleven a lot of people flatten. Tired legs, a bit of homesickness, a sense that the trip has been going a while. It passes. Knowing it is coming is most of the answer.
You move around day thirteen, four and a half hours by coach, and the pace changes immediately. Eight nights in Madinah is generous by any standard.
The Rawdah, and with eight nights you have a genuine chance at a good slot rather than whatever is left. The Ziyarat sites without hurrying. And at least three days with nothing scheduled at all.
You arrive tired from twelve nights in Makkah and the slower pace catches you. Most people describe the Madinah week as the one they were not expecting to love.
This is the section nobody writes, and on a three week trip it matters more than any of the spiritual advice.
On a week you pack enough. On three weeks you cannot, and you should not try. Laundry services are everywhere in both cities, they are cheap, and turnaround is usually a day.
Pack for about eight days and plan to wash twice. Two sets of Ihram rather than one, because you will want a spare and because a second Umrah is likely.
Breakfast is included at most properties. The other two meals across twenty days is a real budget line and it is the thing people forget when comparing package prices.
Eating where local people eat rather than in the hotel changes that figure substantially. Both cities are full of good, inexpensive food at all hours, and half the pleasure of a long trip is that you stop eating like a tourist by the second week.
Three weeks means three weeks of supply, plus a buffer. Ask your GP for the full run before you travel rather than assuming you can buy it there, and carry it in hand luggage with the pharmacy label.
If anyone in the party has a condition that needs monitoring, tell us before we quote. It changes which hotel we pick, because proximity to the Haram clinics matters on a long stay.
Take a card that does not charge for foreign transactions and some cash for the smaller places. Twenty days of taxis, food and small purchases adds up in a way a week does not.
A local SIM or an eSIM is worth it over three weeks. Hotel wifi is fine for messages and unreliable for anything else, and on a long trip you will want a proper call home more than once.
The most useful piece of advice we give long-stay pilgrims. Without some structure, weeks two and three blur into each other and people come home slightly disappointed without knowing why.
It does not need to be elaborate. Something to work through, a target for the mornings, a page a day. People who set themselves something come back saying the three weeks were the best decision they made. People who did not sometimes say it was a week too long.
You already know this argument if you have read our other pages, so here is the version that applies specifically to twenty nights.
Twenty days, five prayers, there and back. Somewhere around 200 journeys between your room and the mosque across the trip.
At 400 metres you barely think about it. At 1.2 km you are walking the better part of fifty hours over the trip, and by week three the walk is the thing deciding whether you attend.
On a fixed budget, we would sooner sell you fourteen nights close in than twenty-one nights far out. £625 at 400 metres will give most people a better trip than £789 at 1.2 km, and we would say so before taking the larger booking.
If three weeks is what you want and budget is tight, the honest answer is to move the money from the tier into the length only if the tier is already at 4 star. The luxury page sets out the proximity bands.
The main risk, and the reason for the advice above. Twenty nights without any structure is a long time and the middle can drift.
Two hundred walks in heat is genuine exertion. People come home having lost weight and people also come home with joint trouble. Break your shoes in at home, not on day one.
Around week two for most people. A proper phone call home helps more than anything else, which is why the SIM is worth the money.
For most employed people, twenty-one days is close to a full year of annual leave. That is a genuine cost and it belongs in the decision.
The per-night figure is the lowest we offer. The total is not. £789 against £499 for a week is £290 more, plus twenty days of food, plus three weeks of not earning if you are self-employed.
One question, and it is the one that decides it. Do you want to be there for three weeks, or do you want the per-night rate? They lead to different bookings and only one of them ends well.
Hotel tier | 21 days (20 nights) | Per night | Typical distance to the Haram |
|---|---|---|---|
3 Star | From £789 | £39 | 700 m to 1.2 km, usually with a shuttle |
4 Star | From £969 | £48 | 300 to 700 m |
5 Star | From £1,049 | £52 | 200 to 500 m |
Per person, quad sharing, off-peak departures. Includes return flights, both hotels, the Saudi visa and all three transfers. Ramadan runs 40 to 70 per cent above these figures and the last ten nights higher again.
Package | From | Per night | Makkah nights |
|---|---|---|---|
7 nights | £499 | £71 | 4 |
10 nights | £545 | £55 | 6 |
12 nights | £579 | £48 | 7 |
14 nights | £625 | £45 | 8 |
21 days / 20 nights | £789 | £39 | 12 |
Going from fourteen nights to twenty costs £164 for six more nights, which is about £27 a night at the margin. That is more than the headline £39 suggests, because the flight subsidy has already been spent by the time you reach a fortnight.
So the per-night figure keeps falling and the marginal cost of each extra night keeps rising. Both are true and the second one is the honest way to think about it.
Stronger here than anywhere else. £180 more across the trip, about £9 a night, for roughly half the walking across two hundred journeys. If you are stretching to three weeks at all, stretch to 4 star first.
We check comparable UK packages every month and sit £20 under the lowest we can find for the same nights and the same hotel tier. On long stays, check carefully that any competing quote is counting nights the same way we are.
Tier detail: 3 star, 4 star, 5 star. If price is the driver, the cheap packages page sets out which savings are real.
Our default on twenty nights is twelve in Makkah and eight in Madinah.
If Makkah is clearly your priority, or if you are going in Ramadan and want the maximum time at the Haram. Six nights in Madinah is still generous.
An even split. Unusual but we build it, mostly for people who have been to Makkah several times and want Madinah properly.
Fewer than five nights in Madinah on a twenty night trip. You have the time and Madinah rewards it more than most people expect.
Makkah first on a long trip, generally. You arrive with the most energy and Makkah demands more of you. Madinah at the end catches you when you are tired and slows you down, which is the right way round.
The exception is a first Umrah, where landing in Madinah and entering Ihram on the ground at Dhul Hulayfah is a gentler start. There is more on the routing choice on the flights and hotel page.
Worth knowing if three weeks is not quite enough.
The single-entry Umrah visa gives you 30 days from issue to enter Saudi Arabia and then up to 90 days of stay. Twenty nights sits comfortably inside that.
If you are retired or otherwise free and want thirty, forty or more nights, ask us. It is a manual quote rather than a package off the shelf, and the hotel side needs building rather than picking, but it is entirely possible.
One constraint on any long trip in spring. Umrah is suspended for a period around Hajj, roughly from the 1st of Dhul Qa’dah through the 13th of Dhul Hijjah, and the visa cannot be used in that window.
Hajj 2027 falls in May, so a three week trip planned for April or May needs checking against those dates before you commit. Ask us and we will confirm the current position. More detail on the visa page.
Travel insurance, and check the maximum trip duration on your policy because some cap single trips at shorter periods than you would expect. Your meningococcal ACWY vaccine, which is a visa requirement. Meals beyond breakfast, which across twenty days is a real budget line. Laundry. Local taxis, including trips out to Taneem for additional Umrahs. UK airport parking, which for three weeks is worth pricing against a lift.
Month | Makkah temp | Verdict for twenty nights |
|---|---|---|
January | 20 to 28°C | Ideal. Coolest walking and the lowest prices |
February | 20 to 30°C | Ramadan 2027. The main reason to book this length |
March | 22 to 32°C | Post-Ramadan is quiet and good value |
April | 26 to 35°C | Warm. Check the Hajj pause dates |
May | 30 to 38°C | Hot, and the Hajj pause usually falls here in 2027 |
June to August | 35 to 45°C | Three weeks in this heat is genuinely hard |
September | 35 to 40°C | Cooling, quiet and good value |
October | 28 to 35°C | Excellent conditions across a long stay |
November | 24 to 32°C | Our pick outside Ramadan. Quietest Haram of the year |
December | 20 to 28°C | Mild but busy and expensive. Book by the summer |
Outside Ramadan, November and January are the two months where a three week stay is most comfortable and cheapest at the same time. Over two hundred walks, the difference between 26 degrees and 43 is not a detail.
Month pages: January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December.
Balance due eight weeks before departure. For Ramadan, book six to twelve months out rather than eight weeks.

Grouped by topic. Direct answer first, detail underneath where it earns its place.
From £789 per person at 3 star, £969 at 4 star and £1,049 at 5 star, all inclusive of flights, visa, both hotels and all transfers.
No. Twenty-one days means twenty nights, because one of those days is spent flying.
Because a night is worth £39 to £52 depending on tier. Ask any competing quote exactly how many nights you are paying for.
Yes, just say so and we price it. It is not our default because most people mean twenty when they say twenty-one days.
£39 at 3 star, which is the lowest rate we offer.
Twelve nights in Makkah and eight in Madinah as standard.
£164 more for six extra nights, which is about £27 a night at the margin.
Because the flight cost has already been spread by the time you reach a fortnight. Everything after that is pure hotel.
Per night, yes. In total, no. Book it because you want three weeks, not because of the rate.
If you can, yes. £180 more across the trip, about £9 a night, for roughly half the walking across two hundred journeys.
Because it covers the last ten nights plus the run-up, so you are settled and know the building before the busiest ten days of the year arrive.
It begins around 8 February 2027, subject to moon sighting, and runs into early March.
On a twenty-one day trip timed properly, usually yes. Most people say it is the thing they remember longest.
40 to 70 per cent above the figures on this page, and the last ten nights higher again.
Six to twelve months. Not three, and certainly not eight weeks.
Yes, and the visa permits it. Ask us for a manual quote, because a full month is built rather than picked off the shelf.
More than at any other time. The Haram fills hours before Maghrib in the last ten nights, and arriving after Asr can mean not getting inside.
It collides, which means families can do part of it without taking children out of school. It also means everyone else has noticed.
Yes. The reward for Umrah in Ramadan applies across the month, and the first twenty nights are far calmer and considerably cheaper.
Mostly retired pilgrims, people between jobs, students on a long vacation, and families travelling with elderly parents.
The best length for them. No leave to negotiate, no deadline, and the pace suits.
Under about twelve, no. We would suggest ten nights instead and say so rather than take the bigger booking.
Often yes, because there is no pressure to do anything on any given day. Book close to the Haram though.
Some people do, with a local SIM and reasonable hotel wifi. Be realistic about how much you will actually get done.
Families with young children, anyone whose work will genuinely suffer, and anyone attracted purely by the per-night figure.
For most employed people, close to a full year of it. That is a real cost and it belongs in the decision.
Into three fairly distinct weeks. Arriving, the deep part, then Madinah.
Very little beyond the Umrah itself. No Ziyarat, no ambitions. Let yourself arrive.
The reason to book three weeks. Ziyarat properly, additional Umrahs, Tawaf at unusual hours, and time to read or memorise.
Commonly around day ten or eleven. Tired legs and a bit of homesickness. It passes.
It can, without structure. Give the trip a shape, even a simple one, and people come back saying it was the best decision they made.
Something to work through. A target for the mornings. A page a day. Nothing elaborate, but something.
Almost nobody thinks so afterwards. Madinah runs slower and most people describe that week as the one they did not expect to love.
Around day thirteen on the standard split, four and a half hours by coach.
Laundry services are everywhere in both cities, cheap, usually a day turnaround. Pack for about eight days and plan to wash twice.
Two sets minimum. You will want a spare and a second Umrah is likely.
Breakfast is usually included. Two meals a day across twenty days is a real budget line and the thing people forget when comparing package prices.
Eat where local people eat rather than in the hotel. Both cities are full of good, inexpensive food at all hours.
Ask your GP for the full three week supply plus a buffer before you travel. Carry it in hand luggage with the pharmacy label.
Over three weeks, yes. A local SIM or eSIM is worth the money, because you will want a proper call home more than once.
A card without foreign transaction fees for most things, and some cash for smaller places. Twenty days of taxis and meals adds up.
No, less than you think, because laundry is easy. Most people over-pack their first long trip badly.
Ones already broken in. Two hundred walks is not the time to discover a new pair rubs.
Around two hundred journeys across twenty days if you attend most prayers.
More than on any other length. At 1.2 km you are walking close to fifty hours over the trip.
Fourteen nights at 400 metres, and we would say so before taking the larger booking.
Typically 700 metres to 1.2 km, usually with a shuttle.
Typically 300 to 700 metres.
200 to 500 metres, or under 200 on the luxury tiers.
Yes, in writing, with the distance in metres and the nearest gate for each.
Considerably. A cramped or noisy room is an irritation for a week and a genuine problem for twenty nights.
Occasionally, if you want to move closer for the last ten nights of Ramadan for instance. Ask and we will price it as a split stay.
Yes. Fourteen and six if Makkah is the priority, or ten and ten for an even trip.
Fewer than five nights in Madinah. You have the time and Madinah rewards it.
Makkah first on a long trip. You arrive with the most energy and Makkah asks more of you. Madinah at the end catches you when you are tired.
Then Madinah first is gentler, because you sleep before entering Ihram on the ground at Dhul Hulayfah.
Yes, an open jaw, which removes a long backtrack at the end when you will be tired.
Comfortably. The single-entry Umrah visa gives 30 days from issue to enter and then up to 90 days stay.
Yes, up to 90. Ask us for a manual quote if you want thirty or forty nights.
Umrah is suspended around Hajj, roughly from the 1st of Dhul Qa’dah through the 13th of Dhul Hijjah, and the visa cannot be used then.
It can. Hajj 2027 falls in May, so check April and May dates with us before committing.
Yes. A Nusuk permit gets you into the Haram to perform Umrah and a separate one covers the Rawdah.
Much better. Eight nights in Madinah means far more chances at a good slot rather than whatever is left.
Yes, meningococcal ACWY, dated at least ten days before you arrive. No certificate, no visa.
Yes, and three weeks gives you plenty of room. Re-enter Ihram at Masjid Aisha in Taneem and come back.
No, it is a local taxi and not part of the package. It is inexpensive.
Check the maximum single trip duration on your policy. Some cap it shorter than people expect, and this is the length where that catches people out.
Insurance, the ACWY vaccine, meals beyond breakfast, laundry, local taxis, and UK airport parking, which over three weeks is worth pricing against a lift.
£99 per person.
Yes, interest free, when you book four or more months ahead. On a three week booking most people do.
Eight weeks before departure. For Ramadan, book far earlier than that.
Whichever is closest, unless another prices meaningfully better. On a three week trip a connection barely matters.
Yes, though groups this long tend to be smaller. Extended families and retired travelling companions rather than large mosque parties.
Yes, in checked baggage, and only the official factory-sealed 5 litre bottle bought at the Saudi airport counters.
Under current Saudi rules, women aged 18 and over may perform Umrah as part of an organised group without a Mahram. Confirm for your travel date.
Our blog covers Ziyarat and the practical side, and the packages hub has every tier, month, city and airport.
From £789 per person, £39 a night. Twelve nights in Makkah, eight in Madinah, flights on one ticket, both hotels named with the distance in metres, the Saudi visa and all three transfers. Held with a £99 deposit.

Tell us the month and whether this is a Ramadan booking, because that changes the timeline completely. And tell us honestly who is travelling and how far they can comfortably walk, because across two hundred journeys that decides the hotel more than the budget does.
Umrah is a voluntary Islamic pilgrimage to Makkah that can be performed at any time of the year. It is open to all Muslims worldwide, regardless of age or gender, provided women under 45 are accompanied by a Mahram.
Hajj is the compulsory annual pilgrimage performed during the Islamic month of Dhul Hijjah and is one of the Five Pillars of Islam. Umrah is a voluntary pilgrimage that can be performed throughout the year and is often referred to as the “lesser pilgrimage.”
The actual rituals of Umrah — Ihram, Tawaf, Sa’i, and Halq or Taqsir — can be completed in a few hours. However, most pilgrims spend 7 to 14 days in Saudi Arabia to maximise their time in worship at the Haram.
Umrah can be performed throughout the year. However, Ramadan is considered the most spiritually rewarding time, as performing Umrah during this month holds the reward equivalent to Hajj. January to March also offer cooler temperatures and a peaceful atmosphere.
Our Umrah packages typically include return flights from the UK, hotel accommodation in both Makkah and Madinah, airport transfers, Umrah visa processing, and 24/7 customer support. Full details are listed on each individual package page.
