More Than Just Umrah Packages

Umrah Packages from Heathrow 2026 and 2027 | Direct Flights to Jeddah from £499 per Person

Umrah packages departing from London Heathrow start at £499 per person for 7 nights, including return flights, your Saudi visa, hotels in Makkah and Madinah, and every transfer once you land.

Heathrow is the best Umrah departure airport in the country. Direct daily flights to Jeddah, three terminals handling Saudi routes, prayer rooms in all four working terminals, and since January it has the most relaxed security liquid rules in the UK.

And most people still turn up at the wrong terminal, pack their toiletries in a way that gets them binned on the way home, and buy Zamzam from a shop in Makkah that no airline will accept in the hold.

So this page does two jobs. The first half is the operational stuff, terminals, prayer rooms, Zamzam, liquids, Ihram. The second half is the packages and prices. Use whichever you came for.

Quick answer

7 nights from £499pp. 10 nights from £545pp. 12 nights from £579pp. 14 nights from £625pp.

Direct Heathrow to Jeddah flights operate daily. Saudi departures use Terminals 3, 4 and 5.

Prayer rooms in Terminals 2, 3, 4 and 5. Heathrow allows liquid containers up to 2 litres through security. Jeddah does not.

Which Heathrow terminal is your Umrah flight?

Get this wrong and you will not make the flight. Heathrow terminals are not one building with different doors. Terminal 4 and Terminal 5 are at opposite ends of the airport and moving between them takes the best part of an hour once you account for waiting for a train.

The rule that never changes

Check your boarding pass. Not this page, not a forum post from 2023, not what your cousin remembers. Airlines move terminals and Heathrow reshuffles regularly. Your boarding pass and the Heathrow app are the only sources that are right today.

That said, here is the pattern you will almost certainly be dealing with.

Where Saudi flights depart from

Heathrow itself confirms that direct services to Jeddah and Riyadh operate out of Terminals 3, 4 and 5.

Terminal

Who tends to be here

Relevant to you if

Terminal 2

Star Alliance carriers, including Turkish and EgyptAir

You are connecting through Istanbul or Cairo

Terminal 3

Emirates and various others

You are connecting through Dubai

Terminal 4

Saudia, plus several Gulf carriers

You are on a direct Saudia flight to Jeddah

Terminal 5

British Airways

You are on a BA service to Jeddah

Saudia is the one most Umrah pilgrims from Heathrow will be on, and Saudia operates from Terminal 4. Saudia runs 38 flights a week to Heathrow from Jeddah and Riyadh combined, so there are usually several daily options in each direction.

The terminal-change trap on connecting flights

If you are flying in from Glasgow, Belfast, Newcastle or Manchester to connect at Heathrow, check whether your two flights use the same terminal.

A domestic arrival into Terminal 5 followed by a Saudia departure from Terminal 4 means you clear the arrivals process, take the free inter-terminal train, and check in again. On a single ticket that is planned for you and the connection time will be legal. On two separate tickets you are doing all of it yourself with your own bags, and a ninety minute layover is nowhere near enough.

We only book single tickets with protected connections. If your Heathrow transfer involves a terminal change, the itinerary allows for it.

How long do the terminal transfers take?

Allow an hour between terminals as a working number. The free Heathrow Express and Elizabeth line services connect the terminals airside and landside, and the walk at either end is longer than you think, particularly at Terminal 5 where the satellites add a serious distance to the gate.

Prayer rooms at Heathrow, terminal by terminal

Heathrow has multi-faith prayer rooms in every working terminal. They are open to everyone, unstaffed, and generally available across the terminal operating hours, which run from very early morning to late at night.

Terminal 2

Two rooms, both after security in departures. One near Gate A21, the other between Gates B34 and B35.

Terminal 3

Two rooms. One after security in departures near Gate 24. One before security, in the Arrivals Hall on Level 1, which is useful if you are meeting family off a flight.

Terminal 4

Two rooms. One before security on the Mezzanine Level, which is the one most Saudia passengers want. One after security in departures near Gate 4.

Terminal 5

The most rooms of any terminal. There is a landside room near Check-in Zone A, plus rooms airside after security. Terminal 5 is enormous, so give yourself time to reach whichever one you are heading for.

The honest bit about wudu

Ablution facilities at Heathrow are limited and they vary by terminal. Some rooms have wudu stones or basic washing provision. Proper foot-washing facilities are not guaranteed everywhere, and this is the single most common complaint Muslim travellers have about the airport.

Practical answer. Many people use the accessible washrooms next to the prayer rooms, or perform tayammum. Bring a small towel in your hand luggage. It weighs nothing and it solves the problem.

If you need more help

Heathrow runs a multi-faith chaplaincy that includes a Muslim chaplain, contactable in advance if you are travelling with someone who has particular needs. The prayer room locations also shift with building works, so the Heathrow interactive terminal map is worth a look on the day rather than relying on a description written months earlier.

The liquid rule that changed in January, and why it matters both ways

This is the single most useful thing on this page and almost nobody has updated their Umrah advice for it.

At Heathrow: 2 litres per container

Since 23 January 2026, Heathrow allows liquid containers of up to 2 litres through security in hand baggage. This applies across Terminals 2, 3, 4 and 5. There is no clear plastic bag requirement any more, and laptops and tablets stay in your bag. The change came after Heathrow finished installing CT scanners across the airport.

So on the outbound leg you can carry a full-size shampoo, a large bottle of unscented soap for Ihram, and a proper bottle of water bought before security.

On the way home: assume 100ml

Here is the trap. The 2 litre allowance is a Heathrow rule, not a UK rule and definitely not a global one. Jeddah and Madinah airports are not running it.

So a family flies out from Heathrow with full-size toiletries in their cabin bags, buys more in Makkah, and then watches the lot go in a bin at Jeddah security on the way back. It is a small loss and a completely avoidable one.

The rule to travel by: pack liberally for the outbound, pack for 100ml on the return, and put anything large in the hold bag for the journey home.

And if you connect through a different UK airport

Only a handful of UK airports have moved to the 2 litre allowance so far. Several major ones, including Manchester, Stansted and Luton, still run the 100ml rule at the time of writing. If your itinerary takes you out of Heathrow and home through somewhere else, the stricter rule applies at whichever airport you are departing from at that point.

Unscented soap and Ihram

Once you are in Ihram, scented soap, perfumed shampoo and deodorant are off limits. Buy unscented before you travel rather than hunting for it in a Jeddah pharmacy at 2am. Heathrow now lets you carry a full-size bottle through security, which makes this easier than it was last year.

Zamzam water: the rules people get wrong

Nearly everyone brings Zamzam home. A surprising number lose it at the airport.

You cannot take it in hand luggage

Zamzam goes in the hold, always. It is a liquid and it is well over any cabin allowance anywhere in the world.

It has to be the official airport bottle

This is the bit that catches people. Airlines accept factory-sealed 5 litre Zamzam containers from the official Zamzam project, sold at dedicated counters in the arrivals and departures halls at the Saudi airports. You show your passport and buy it there.

Zamzam bought from a shop in Makkah or Madinah, decanted into your own bottles, or sealed by anyone other than the official project will not be accepted into checked baggage. It gets refused at the counter and you have carried it across the country for nothing.

How much can I bring?

One 5 litre container per passenger is the standard allowance, and you generally need your passport to buy it.

Does it count against my baggage allowance?

On the main Umrah carriers, no. Saudia, Emirates, Etihad, Qatar Airways and several others carry the official 5 litre bottle free of charge and outside your normal checked allowance. That is a policy that can change, so confirm it with your airline before you rely on it, and we confirm it in your travel pack for whichever carrier you are booked on.

A family of four

Four passengers, four bottles, twenty litres. That is twenty kilos of water arriving at Heathrow on a baggage belt. Bring a trolley pound coin and think about how you are getting it to the car park, because it is heavier than people picture.

Where to change into Ihram when you fly from Heathrow

You do not travel to Heathrow in Ihram

There is no requirement to leave home in it. Travel in your normal clothes and change at the airport or on the aircraft.

On a direct Heathrow to Jeddah flight

Most people change at Heathrow after security, using the prayer room or a washroom, and make their intention before boarding. Others change on board. Either works. What matters is that you have entered Ihram and made the intention before the Miqat is crossed.

The Miqat is passed in the air

Flying into Jeddah from the UK, the boundary is crossed roughly half an hour before landing and the crew announce it. You cannot sort it out after you land. This is the most common mistake on the whole trip and it is entirely avoidable.

If you connect through Doha, Dubai or Istanbul

Change during your layover, before boarding the Jeddah leg. The Gulf hubs are well set up for this and nobody there will think twice about it.

If you fly to Madinah first

You do not enter Ihram on the plane at all. You spend your Madinah nights in normal clothes and enter Ihram at Dhul Hulayfah, also called Abyar Ali, about 9 km outside Madinah on the Makkah road. Your coach stops there and there are proper changing facilities.

For a first Umrah this is often the calmer sequence, and Heathrow has good options into Madinah as well as Jeddah.

Pack the Ihram in hand luggage

Not the hold. If your case takes a later flight you still want to be able to enter Ihram on time. Same goes for your medication and your vaccination certificate.

Getting to Heathrow, and getting home again

Elizabeth line

The cheapest sensible option from central London and it now runs to Terminals 2, 3, 4 and 5. Contactless or Oyster, no ticket queue, and the airport is inside the pay-as-you-go zone system.

Heathrow Express

Fifteen minutes from Paddington and by some distance the most expensive way to travel fifteen miles. Worth it if you are late. Otherwise the Elizabeth line does the same job for a fraction of the fare and only takes about twenty minutes longer.

Piccadilly line

Slowest of the three and the cheapest. Fine if you are travelling light. Less fine with three suitcases and a pushchair at rush hour.

Driving and parking

One thing to know if you are on Saudia at Terminal 4. The Terminal 4 multi-storey car park closed on 23 June 2026 as part of a redevelopment of the forecourt, and all Terminal 4 passenger parking has moved to Zone A of the Terminal 4 Park and Ride. If you have parked there before, it is not where it used to be. Allow extra time.

Being dropped off

Heathrow charges a drop-off fee at every terminal forecourt. It is per visit, it is not optional, and it is paid online rather than at a barrier. Plenty of people get a penalty weeks later because nobody told them.

How early should I arrive?

Three hours for a Jeddah or Madinah flight. Not two.

The reason is specific to Umrah routes. These are heavy-baggage flights. Families check in four and five cases, most of them near the weight limit, and the check-in queue moves at a completely different pace to a Malaga flight. Three hours is comfortable. Two hours in Ramadan season is not.

What happens when you land

Jeddah

King Abdulaziz International has consolidated into two main passenger buildings. Terminal 1 handles Saudia along with most major international carriers, and the North Terminal handles a smaller set. They are several kilometres apart with a free shuttle between them, roughly fifteen minutes.

The train nobody tells you about

The Haramain High-Speed Railway has a station inside the Jeddah Terminal 1 complex, running to Makkah and Madinah. Standard class fares start around 65 SAR and services run roughly hourly.

We usually still put you in the coach transfer that comes with your package, because it takes you door to door and your bags stay with you. But it is worth knowing the train exists, particularly for the Makkah to Madinah leg, and if you would rather travel that way we will price the package accordingly.

Jeddah airport to Makkah

About 90 kilometres by road, an hour to ninety minutes depending on traffic. Included in every package we sell.

Madinah

Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International is much smaller and much calmer than Jeddah, and it sits close to the city. If you have elderly parents with you, arriving in Madinah rather than Jeddah is a noticeably gentler start.

Why Heathrow prices well

Competition. Heathrow has more carriers flying to Saudi Arabia than any other UK airport, plus every Gulf hub option on top. When several airlines want the same passenger, the fare drops. Departures from smaller UK airports do not have that.

Our pricing rule is simple. We check comparable UK packages every month and sit £20 under the lowest one we find for the same nights and the same hotel tier.

Choosing how long to go for

7 nights from Heathrow, from £499

Four nights Makkah, three Madinah. Covers Ihram, Tawaf, Sa’i and Halq comfortably, plus the Rawdah and the main Madinah sites.

From Heathrow this is genuinely a five working day trip, because a direct flight means no wasted connection day at either end. That is the one real advantage Heathrow has over every other UK airport for short trips. Our 7 night 3 star package is our most booked option.

10 nights from Heathrow, from £545

Six nights Makkah, four Madinah, and £46 more than the 7 night.

Six nights in Makkah is the point at which you can perform Tawaf at four genuinely different times. Fajr with the Mataf half empty and the marble cold. Mid morning. After Maghrib when it is at its fullest. Then somewhere past midnight when it thins out again.

12 nights from Heathrow, from £579

Seven Makkah, five Madinah. Suits retired pilgrims and larger families moving at the pace of the slowest person.

14 nights from Heathrow, from £625

Eight Makkah, six Madinah. Works out at £45 a night against £71 a night on the 7 night package, with the same flights and the same hotels.

Umrah from Heathrow: 117 questions answered

Grouped by topic. Short answer first, then the detail where it earns its place.

Terminals and finding your flight

Which terminal is Saudia at Heathrow?

Terminal 4.

Which terminal do Jeddah flights leave from?

Direct Saudi services run from Terminals 3, 4 and 5 depending on the airline. Saudia is Terminal 4. Check your boarding pass, because airlines do move.

Which terminal is British Airways at Heathrow?

Terminal 5.

Which terminal is Emirates at Heathrow?

Terminal 3.

Which terminal is Turkish Airlines at Heathrow?

Terminal 2, along with the other Star Alliance carriers.

How do I know my terminal for certain?

Your boarding pass and the Heathrow app. Nothing else is guaranteed current.

How long does it take to move between Heathrow terminals?

Allow an hour. The free trains connect them but the walks at either end are long, especially at Terminal 5.

Is Terminal 4 far from the others?

Yes. Terminal 4 has its own access road and sits away from the central terminal area. It is not a short hop from Terminal 5.

What if I land at one terminal and depart from another?

On one ticket, the connection time allows for it and your bags transfer automatically. On two separate tickets you are doing it yourself and ninety minutes will not be enough.

Is Terminal 1 still open?

No. Heathrow operates Terminals 2, 3, 4 and 5.

Are there direct flights from Heathrow to Madinah?

Yes, alongside the Jeddah services. Madinah is often the calmer arrival, particularly with elderly travellers.

How many flights a week go from Heathrow to Saudi Arabia?

Saudia alone runs 38 weekly flights to Heathrow across its Jeddah and Riyadh routes, and other carriers fly the route too.

Is Heathrow better than Gatwick for Umrah?

Generally yes, on choice and fare. More carriers compete on the Saudi routes from Heathrow, which pulls prices down.

Prayer rooms and facilities

Is there a prayer room at Heathrow?

Yes, multi-faith prayer rooms in Terminals 2, 3, 4 and 5.

Where is the prayer room in Terminal 4?

Two of them. One before security on the Mezzanine Level, one after security in departures near Gate 4.

Where is the prayer room in Terminal 5?

One landside near Check-in Zone A, plus rooms airside after security. Terminal 5 is big, so allow time.

Where is the prayer room in Terminal 3?

After security near Gate 24, and before security in the Arrivals Hall on Level 1.

Where is the prayer room in Terminal 2?

Two rooms after security, one near Gate A21 and one between Gates B34 and B35.

Are there wudu facilities at Heathrow?

Limited, and they vary by terminal. Some rooms have wudu provision, proper foot-washing is not guaranteed everywhere. It is the most common complaint about the airport.

What do people do about wudu in practice?

Use the accessible washrooms next to the prayer rooms, or perform tayammum. A small towel in your hand luggage makes it much easier.

Are the prayer rooms open all night?

They follow terminal operating hours, which run very early until late. They are unstaffed shared spaces.

Are the prayer rooms before or after security?

Depends on the terminal. Terminals 3, 4 and 5 all have at least one landside option. Terminal 2 has both of its rooms airside.

Is there a Muslim chaplain at Heathrow?

Yes, as part of the airport multi-faith chaplaincy. Worth contacting in advance if someone in your group has particular needs.

Is there halal food at Heathrow?

Options exist in every terminal but they are not extensive. If you are particular, eat before you travel or pack something.

Liquids and security

What is the liquid limit at Heathrow?

2 litres per container, in your normal hand luggage, since 23 January 2026. No clear plastic bag needed.

Does that apply in all terminals?

Yes, Terminals 2, 3, 4 and 5.

Do I still have to take my laptop out?

No, not at Heathrow. The new CT scanners read it in the bag.

Can I bring water through security at Heathrow?

Yes, up to 2 litres in one container.

Does the 2 litre rule apply at Jeddah on the way back?

No. Assume 100ml for your return journey and put anything large in the hold.

What about my return through Manchester or Luton?

Several UK airports still run the 100ml rule. The stricter rule applies at whichever airport you are departing from.

Can I take my medication through?

Yes. Bring the prescription or the pharmacy label, and keep medication in your hand luggage rather than the hold.

Can I bring unscented soap for Ihram in my cabin bag?

From Heathrow, yes, up to a 2 litre container. Buy it in the UK rather than trying to find it at Jeddah airport.

How early should I get to Heathrow for a Jeddah flight?

Three hours. Umrah flights are heavy-baggage flights and check-in moves slowly.

Why do Umrah check-in queues take so long?

Families check in four or five cases each, most near the weight limit, and every bag gets weighed and often repacked at the desk.

Zamzam water

Can I bring Zamzam water back to the UK?

Yes, in checked baggage. Never in hand luggage.

How much Zamzam can I bring?

One factory-sealed 5 litre container per passenger is the standard allowance.

Where do I buy it?

At the official counters in the arrivals and departures halls of the Saudi airports. You will need your passport.

Can I buy Zamzam in Makkah and take it home?

No. Airlines only accept the official airport-sealed 5 litre bottle in checked baggage. Shop-bought or decanted Zamzam gets refused at the counter.

Does Zamzam count against my baggage allowance?

On the main Umrah carriers including Saudia, Emirates, Etihad and Qatar Airways, it is carried free and outside your standard allowance. Policies change, so confirm with your airline.

Can I put Zamzam in my hand luggage if it is sealed?

No. It is a liquid far above any cabin allowance in the world.

How heavy is 5 litres?

About 5 kilos. A family of four brings home 20 kilos of water, so think about how you are getting it from the belt to the car.

Ihram

Where do I change into Ihram at Heathrow?

After security, in the prayer room or a washroom, before boarding. Or on the aircraft before the Miqat.

Do I have to travel to the airport in Ihram?

No. Travel normally and change at the airport.

When is the Miqat crossed?

Flying into Jeddah from the UK, roughly half an hour before landing. The crew announce it. You must be in Ihram and have made your intention before that point.

What if I forget and land without entering Ihram?

You have crossed the Miqat without Ihram, which has consequences you would rather avoid. Speak to a scholar. Far easier to just change before boarding.

Can I enter Ihram if I fly to Madinah first?

You do not need to. Enter Ihram at Dhul Hulayfah, also called Abyar Ali, about 9 km outside Madinah on the road to Makkah. Your coach stops there.

Should I pack Ihram in my suitcase?

No, hand luggage. If your case takes a later flight you still need to enter Ihram on time.

What do women wear for Ihram?

There is no prescribed garment. Loose modest clothing covering everything except face and hands. Comfortable shoes matter more than most people expect.

Getting to and from the airport

What is the cheapest way to get to Heathrow?

The Elizabeth line or the Piccadilly line, on contactless or Oyster.

Does the Elizabeth line go to all terminals?

It serves Terminals 2, 3, 4 and 5.

Is Heathrow Express worth it?

Fifteen minutes from Paddington, and the most expensive way to travel fifteen miles in Britain. Worth it if you are late, otherwise the Elizabeth line is about twenty minutes slower for a fraction of the fare.

Where do I park for Terminal 4?

The Terminal 4 multi-storey closed on 23 June 2026 for redevelopment. All Terminal 4 passenger parking moved to Zone A of the Terminal 4 Park and Ride. Allow extra time if you have not been since.

Is there a drop-off charge at Heathrow?

Yes, at every terminal forecourt, per visit, paid online rather than at a barrier. People regularly get a penalty because they did not know.

Can I get a coach to Heathrow from outside London?

Yes, direct coaches run from Birmingham, Bristol, Southampton and many other cities straight into the airport.

Should I fly in from Manchester or Glasgow to connect?

Yes, but book it as one ticket with us. Two separate tickets means no baggage transfer and no protection if the first leg is late.

Prices and payment

How much is Umrah from Heathrow?

From £499 per person for 7 nights, up to £825 for 14 nights in a 5 star hotel, all inclusive of flights, visa, hotels and Saudi transport.

What is your cheapest package?

£499 per person, 7 nights, 3 star, quad sharing, off-peak.

How much for 10 nights?

From £545 at 3 star, £679 at 4 star, £745 at 5 star.

How much for 14 nights?

From £625 at 3 star. That is £45 a night, the best value per night we sell.

Is the price genuinely all inclusive?

For off-peak quad sharing, yes. Flights, visa, both hotels and all Saudi ground transport are in the number.

Are Heathrow departures more expensive than other airports?

Usually the opposite. More airlines compete on the Saudi routes from Heathrow, which brings fares down.

How much deposit?

£99 per person.

Can I pay monthly?

Yes, interest free, if you book four or more months ahead.

When is the balance due?

Eight weeks before departure.

Do you price match?

We price under. Send a written quote through Beat My Quote.

Is quad sharing compulsory?

No. Twin or double adds roughly £180 to £340 per person depending on tier and season.

Do children pay less?

Yes. Under twos travel as lap infants for a nominal fare, two to elevens get a reduced rate sharing with two adults, twelve and over pay adult.

When are prices lowest?

January and November, with September and October close behind on better weather.

How far ahead should I book?

Three to four months normally. Six months or more for Ramadan and December.

Visa, vaccine and documents

How do I get an Umrah visa?

We submit it through Nusuk, the official Saudi platform. Four to seven working days.

What documents do you need?

Passport with at least six months validity from your travel date, a passport photo, and your meningococcal ACWY certificate.

Do I need a vaccine?

Yes. Meningococcal ACWY is mandatory for the Umrah visa. No certificate, no visa.

Where do I get the ACWY vaccine in London?

Your GP, or a private travel clinic. Pharmacy travel services across London offer it. Allow at least ten days before you fly.

How long is the vaccine certificate valid?

Generally several years. Keep it, it saves you the whole process next time.

How long is an Umrah visa valid?

90 days from issue with a 90 day maximum stay, and you can travel anywhere in Saudi Arabia on it.

Can I do Umrah on a Saudi tourist visa?

Yes, tourist visa holders may perform Umrah. Rules change, so confirm the current position before relying on it.

What if my passport is not British?

Not a problem with UK residency. Tell us the nationality at enquiry because processing times differ.

What if my visa is refused?

Rare, and usually a document issue we can fix and resubmit. We tell you the same day.

Do I need travel insurance?

Strongly recommended. Cancellation, medical and repatriation cover are the ones that matter.

Hotels and Saudi Arabia

How close will my hotel be to the Haram?

3 star is typically 700 metres to 1.2 km with a shuttle. 4 star 300 to 700 metres. 5 star 200 to 500 metres, or under 200 on the luxury tiers.

Will you tell me the hotel before I pay?

Yes, in writing, with the distance in metres and the nearest gate.

Can I get a Kaaba view room?

Yes, on the luxury tier. Pricing is on the luxury packages page.

How do I get from Jeddah airport to Makkah?

Included in your package. About 90 km, an hour to ninety minutes by road.

Is there a train from Jeddah airport?

Yes, the Haramain High-Speed Railway has a station inside Terminal 1, running to Makkah and Madinah. Standard class from around 65 SAR, roughly hourly.

Should I take the train instead of the transfer?

Most people take the coach because it is door to door with the bags. The train is worth considering for the Makkah to Madinah leg if you would rather. Tell us and we price it that way.

Which Jeddah terminal will I land at?

Terminal 1 for Saudia and most major carriers. The North Terminal handles a smaller set, with a free shuttle between them of about fifteen minutes.

How do I get from Makkah to Madinah?

Included. Air conditioned coach, about four and a half hours by road.

What is the time difference?

Saudi Arabia is three hours ahead of the UK in winter and two hours ahead during British Summer Time.

Do you arrange Ziyarat?

Yes, in both cities. Makkah covers Jabal al-Noor, Jabal Thawr, Mina and Arafat. Madinah covers Masjid Quba, Masjid Qiblatain, Uhud and the Seven Mosques.

How do I visit the Rawdah?

Free timed permits through the Nusuk app. Nobody can sell you one. Women visit in separate sessions with fewer slots, so book early.

Can I perform Umrah twice on one trip?

Yes. Return to the nearest Miqat, most people use Masjid Aisha at Taneem, re-enter Ihram and come back.

Families, elderly pilgrims and groups

Which package suits elderly parents?

A hotel under 300 metres from the Haram, 12 or 14 nights, travelling between November and February. And fly direct if you can.

Is Heathrow easier for elderly travellers than a connecting airport?

Considerably. A direct flight removes a layover, a second security check and a second boarding. That matters a lot at eighty.

Can I book assistance at Heathrow?

Yes, through the airline, ideally at least 48 hours before departure. Tell us and we will note it on the booking and remind you.

Are wheelchairs available at the Haram?

Yes, at the mosque. There are upper level Tawaf areas designed for wheelchair use where the circuit is longer but far less crowded.

Is Umrah suitable for young children?

Plenty of families manage it. Each child in Ihram needs one adult whose only job is that child.

Do children have to perform Umrah?

It is not obligatory before puberty. Many families have them perform it anyway, which is fine.

Can we get connecting rooms?

Yes, and we will price them properly rather than squeezing six people into a quad.

Do you do group bookings from London?

Yes, from five people upward. Mosque groups, ISoc trips and large family parties.

Ramadan and timing

Is Umrah in Ramadan equal to Hajj?

The Prophet, peace be upon him, said Umrah in Ramadan equals Hajj in reward, reported in Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim. It does not remove the obligation to perform Hajj itself.

When is Ramadan 2027?

Around 8 February 2027, subject to moon sighting.

How much more does Ramadan cost?

40 to 70 per cent above off-peak, and more again for the last ten nights.

When should I book for the last ten nights?

As early as possible. Rooms near the Haram for that window sell out earlier than any other date in the year.

Is Heathrow busier in Ramadan?

The Jeddah and Madinah check-in desks certainly are. Three hours becomes a minimum rather than a comfortable margin.

Best month if I cannot go in Ramadan?

October or November. Mild, quiet and cheapest.

Booking with us

How do I book?

WhatsApp +44 7737 144 335 or call. £99 per person holds it.

How quickly do I get a quote?

Same day during business hours, usually within a couple of hours.

You are in Manchester. Does that matter for a Heathrow departure?

No. Flights, visa, hotels and support all run on WhatsApp and phone. Where the agent sits has no bearing on the booking.

Can I visit the office?

Yes, 7 Huxley Avenue, Manchester M8 0SJ, during business hours. Ring ahead if you are making the trip.

Do you speak Urdu?

Yes, English or Urdu, no difference in price or service.

Can I change my dates after booking?

Usually, subject to airline and hotel rules. Tell us early, because change costs rise sharply near departure.

What if my flight is cancelled?

Message your agent. Everything is on one ticket, so the airline reroutes you and we rearrange the ground side around it.

Who do I contact while I am out there?

The same agent who built your booking, on WhatsApp, at any hour.

Can women travel without a Mahram?

Under current Saudi rules, women aged 18 and over may perform Umrah as part of an organised group without a Mahram. Confirm the position for your specific travel date.

Can I add a holiday afterwards?

Yes. Turkey, Dubai, Egypt and Pakistan combinations all work well from Heathrow. See special packages.

Can I book hotels only?

Yes, if you already have your visa and flights. Ask for a land only quote.

Where can I read more?

Our blog covers Ziyarat and the practical side, and the packages hub has every tier and month.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. What is Umrah and who can perform it?

Umrah is a voluntary Islamic pilgrimage to Makkah that can be performed at any time of the year. It is open to all Muslims worldwide, regardless of age or gender, provided women under 45 are accompanied by a Mahram.

Hajj is the compulsory annual pilgrimage performed during the Islamic month of Dhul Hijjah and is one of the Five Pillars of Islam. Umrah is a voluntary pilgrimage that can be performed throughout the year and is often referred to as the “lesser pilgrimage.”

The actual rituals of Umrah — Ihram, Tawaf, Sa’i, and Halq or Taqsir — can be completed in a few hours. However, most pilgrims spend 7 to 14 days in Saudi Arabia to maximise their time in worship at the Haram.

Umrah can be performed throughout the year. However, Ramadan is considered the most spiritually rewarding time, as performing Umrah during this month holds the reward equivalent to Hajj. January to March also offer cooler temperatures and a peaceful atmosphere.

Our Umrah packages typically include return flights from the UK, hotel accommodation in both Makkah and Madinah, airport transfers, Umrah visa processing, and 24/7 customer support. Full details are listed on each individual package page.
