What is the minimum group size for a women’s halaqah Umrah?
We arrange women’s group Umrah from 5 sisters. Groups of 5–9 access all coordinated logistics (same-floor hotel rooms, group visa processing, coordinated Rawdah slots) at standard individual rates. Groups of 10+ access our group-discount pricing from £625/pp.
How many women does a halaqah group need for the cheapest price?
10 or more. Our group pricing from £625/pp (7 nights, 3-star, off-peak) applies to groups of 10 and above. Below 10 sisters, the price is our standard individual rate from £645/pp — still all-inclusive, still fully coordinated, just without the hotel-block discount that 10+ generates.
Can women from different mosques or circles book together as one group?
Yes. The group does not need to be a formal institutional unit — women from two or three different halaqah circles who know each other and want to travel together qualify as a group. The only requirement is that they all travel on the same departure and return flights and share the same hotel block.
What happens if two members want to leave early or arrive late?
Group packages are built around shared departure and return flights. Members who cannot travel on the group dates should book as individual packages. Mixing departure dates within a single group booking is not possible — it effectively creates two separate bookings.
Can the group include both experienced and first-time pilgrims?
Yes — and the mix is often one of the most valuable aspects of the halaqah group Umrah. Experienced pilgrims naturally guide first-timers through the Haram, explain the rituals in context, and help with navigation. This informal mentorship within the group is described by returning first-timers as one of the things they valued most.
The Booking Process
How far in advance should a halaqah group book?
For off-peak months (November, January, October): 2–3 months ahead is sufficient. For school holiday months (Easter, summer, Christmas): 3–4 months. For Ramadan 2027: 5–6 months minimum — Ramadan group hotel blocks at good prices sell quickly. The earlier you confirm your group size and dates, the better your hotel block options.
What deposit does each member need to pay?
£100 per person secures the hotel block and flight seats. The balance is due 8 weeks before departure. For groups where members need more time to gather funds, contact us about payment plan options for early bookings.
Can we add more sisters after the initial booking?
Yes — additional members can join within the first 4 weeks of the initial booking, subject to hotel room availability and flight seat availability. After 4 weeks, additions depend on remaining space. We advise the group organiser on the specific deadline for additions at the time of booking.
Do all members need to submit documents at the same time?
Ideally yes — we process visas as a single coordinated batch. If a member is late with documents, her visa is processed separately and takes additional processing time. We advise organising a document collection deadline of 2 weeks after deposit payment.
In Saudi Arabia — Practical Group Management
Can the group perform Tawaf together?
In off-peak months (November, October, January), groups of 10–15 can typically maintain loose group formation during Tawaf. In busier months, crowd density may split the group in the Mataf. We advise using a buddy system and agreeing on a post-Tawaf meeting point before the first Haram visit.
Can all group members visit the Rawdah at the same time?
We pre-book Rawdah slots in adjacent time windows for all group members, so visits occur within the same 1–2 hour window on the same day. Exact visit times depend on Nusuk availability. The Rawdah itself is visited individually — each sister enters during her allocated window.
What if a group member becomes ill during the trip?
Your named Packages Umrah agent is available on WhatsApp 24/7. Saudi Arabia has well-equipped hospitals in Makkah and Madinah, and the Haram has Saudi Red Crescent first aid stations throughout. Travel insurance with medical cover (including emergency repatriation) is essential for all group members and should be purchased before departure.
Should the group have a designated leader in Makkah?
Yes — the Makkah organiser (the same person as the UK organiser, or someone else the group designates) serves as the practical coordinator throughout the Saudi Arabia stay. This person holds the group agent’s WhatsApp number, knows the hotel details, and is the point of contact if any member has a question or issue. This role should be established and agreed before departure, not improvised on arrival.
